Rescue is about the animals, always, but it's also about the people.
The AHHRB volunteer base spans across Sherwood Park, Strathcona County, Fort Saskatchewan, Leduc, Camrose, Tofield & Edmonton. As a foster home based organization, this means all of our in-care animals are placed in a home during their transition while getting ready for yours! |
Animals come into our care from all different backgrounds:

KARMA
In memory of our incredible Vice President, Nicole, we are proud to introduce KARMA — Kids for Animal Rescue, Mentorship & Advocacy. Nicole’s passion and dedication to advocating for those who don’t have a voice was unmatched, and we see no better way to honour her beautiful soul than by continuing the work she believed in so deeply. KARMA was created to carry her legacy forward by empowering youth to step into leadership through compassion, volunteerism, and advocacy. Through this program, teens will actively support the rescue, rehabilitation, and rehoming of vulnerable animals in our community — ensuring that Nicole’s heart for second chances lives on in every life touched. |
